Where to eat in Shibuya
Shibuya mixes three kinds of places to eat. Tiny alley bars and izakaya serve grilled skewers and drinks in a few seats. Food halls sell prepared food by the counter. The towers and department stores around the station stack restaurants on upper floors.
This page names only places with a published concept or opening frame. Always check the menu, the hours and the prices of a place before you commit, and do not assume that every kitchen offers English menus, card payment or dishes for special diets.

Alleys and yokocho
The place for izakaya, yakitori and small plates.
Nonbei Yokocho
A narrow alley of tiny places close to the station, known for yakitori and izakaya. It is its own small world and should not be confused with Golden Gai or Omoide Yokocho in Shinjuku. Ask before you sit down.
Shibuya Yokocho
A complex on the ground floor of the south building of RAYARD MIYASHITA PARK. It collects regional ramen, donburi, gyoza, yakitori and karaage, with cooking from different parts of Japan. These are categories, not a promise that every dish is on the menu every day.
Walking in
Shibuya Yokocho says you can use it without a reservation. That does not guarantee a seat at busy times. The general opening frame is 11:00 to 05:00, and each venue sets its own hours.
