Shibuya Sky at a glance
Shibuya Sky is the viewing deck of the Shibuya Scramble Square tower, about 229 m high. The ticket counter is on the 14th floor. From there you go up to the indoor areas on the upper floors and to the roof. This guide is independent. It does not sell tickets, and it is not run by the operator of Shibuya Sky.
Opening hours are 10:00 to 22:30, with the last entry at 21:20. New Year's Day is a closing day, and unplanned closures are possible. Check the current hours before you go, especially around the New Year.

Booking and timing
How to get a slot.
Reserve a date and time
Tickets are for a date and a time slot of 20 minutes. They go on sale up to two weeks ahead. If the adult online tickets are sold out, the counter is sold out too, so do not count on buying at the door.
The 15:00 price step
The step at 15:00 is fixed. A ticket before 15:00 is cheaper, but sunset and visibility are not guaranteed by any ticket. See the best time page for the seasons.
Buy online or at the counter
The online price is JPY 300 lower than the counter price in the same time band.
Roof rules and lockers
What you can bring up and what stays below.
Allowed on the roof
A smartphone, and a camera on a neck strap or small enough to fit into a pocket of your clothing.
Not allowed on the roof
Bags, backpacks, pouches, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, headphones, hats and caps, food and drinks, and loose items that could fall or fly off.
Lockers
Special roof lockers are on the 46th floor. They measure 320 mm high, 375 mm wide and 430 mm deep. Leave large suitcases outside the building before you come.
Strollers
Your own stroller does not go to the roof. A limited number of rental strollers are provided there, and some roof areas are restricted.
Photography
Commercial recordings, sound recordings and interviews are not allowed in the building. Photos with your phone or camera are fine.
Bad weather
The roof can close at short notice.
Strong wind, rain, snow, an approaching thunderstorm, photochemical smog and extreme heat can all close the roof, sometimes at short notice. Sky Gallery is an indoor area and works as an option in the rain. That does not mean it is open in every storm, so check on the day. Read the terms of your ticket for changes and refunds before you buy.
If the weather looks bad, another view of the crossing may suit you better. The best views page compares street level, the MAG8 lounge and a cafe window. For the evening hours, see Shibuya at night. Another view over Tokyo is the Tokyo Skytree.
